Terms, privacy and cookies

Plain language, no tricks. This page says who you are dealing with, what we agree on when we build something for you, and what happens to the details you leave on this site.

Who we are

Lampion Labs is the web studio of AM Groep B.V., a Dutch company. Everything on this site, every quote we send and every site we build is delivered by AM Groep B.V. under the name Lampion Labs.

Terms and conditions

1. When these terms apply

They apply to every quote we send, every order you accept and every site, film or tour we build, unless we have agreed something else in writing. Your own purchase conditions do not apply.

2. Quotes and what is included

A quote says what you get, what it costs and roughly how long it takes. It is valid for 30 days. What is not written in the quote is not included, and that is not us being difficult: it is so nobody is surprised later. Extra work is quoted separately and only starts once you say yes.

3. What we need from you

We can only build fast if the material arrives. That means texts, photos, logo, opening hours, prices and, where relevant, access to your domain or hosting. If we are waiting on you for more than a month, we may pause the project and pick it up again when you are ready.

4. Prices and payment

• Prices are in euro and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
• Unless agreed otherwise, we invoice half at the start and half when the site goes live.
• Payment term is 14 days. Monthly costs such as hosting, domain and care are invoiced per period.
• If an invoice stays unpaid after a reminder, we may pause work and any services we host for you.

5. Delivery, revisions and going live

You get a working version to look at. Two rounds of revisions are included; further rounds are extra work. Once the site is live and you have not raised anything within 14 days, the work counts as accepted. Small fixes to things that are plainly broken are of course still on us.

6. Rights and ownership

Once everything is paid, the site, the texts we wrote for it and the images we made for it are yours to use for your business. We keep the right to show the work in our own portfolio, unless you tell us you would rather we did not. Fonts, stock material, plugins and other third party components keep their own licences. You are responsible for the material you hand us: if you supply a photo, you confirm you are allowed to use it.

7. Hosting, domains and services from others

We build on services such as Cloudflare for hosting, and email and form services from other providers. We choose carefully but we cannot promise that a service outside our control never has an outage. Domains are registered in your name wherever possible, so you always keep the keys to your own address.

8. Care, changes and cancelling

A care plan runs per month and can be stopped at the end of any month. One off projects can be cancelled before we start at no cost. If you cancel while we are working, we invoice the hours already spent.

9. Liability

We do our work properly and fix our own mistakes. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the amount invoiced for the assignment concerned, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost turnover or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence.

10. Complaints and applicable law

Tell us first: most things are sorted out in one conversation. Write to hello@lampionlabs.com within 14 days of noticing the problem. Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the district where AM Groep B.V. is established.

Privacy statement

AM Groep B.V., trading as Lampion Labs, decides what happens to the personal data collected through this site. We keep it simple: we ask for the least we can, we use it only to answer you, and we do not sell it to anyone.

The legal basis is your consent for analytics, and our legitimate interest in answering a question you asked us for everything else. If we end up working together, the basis becomes the agreement between us.

How long we keep it

A request that does not lead to work is deleted within 12 months. If we do work together, we keep the project correspondence for as long as the agreement runs plus the seven years Dutch tax law requires for invoices and administration. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Who else touches it

Only parties that help us run the site, and only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare, for hosting this site and handling the form request.
• Resend, which delivers the form as an email to our inbox.
• Hostinger, where our own mailbox lives.
• Google Analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies, with your IP address anonymised.

Some of these process data outside the European Union. Where that happens it is covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, form traffic is encrypted and only people who need access to the inbox have it. No system is perfect, but we do not ask for anything we do not need, which is the best protection there is.

Cookies

Nothing is placed until you choose. The banner appears once, and you can change your mind at any time through the Cookies link in the footer.

Say no and the analytics script is never loaded at all. Nothing on this site breaks if you refuse, because we do not use cookies for anything the site needs to work.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, ask for a copy, or object to us using it. One email to hello@lampionlabs.com is enough and we answer within a month. If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
